“I chose Mariusz because my friends were going there and loved it. As a mum of teenagers, working full time, I had not been to a gym or exercised much for 20 years.

I was very unfit. I had stiff knees and ankles and a sore foot I thought I had arthritis in.

I felt wary of any gym because of all the other super-fit judgey people and pretentious trainers.

I did not find this was the case at all with Body Shape. They have been very welcoming and generous with their skills and knowledge. There any many different members working side by side with various fitness levels and goals. All individually catered for. And it is not intimidating.

My main goals at first were to get a bit fitter, lose some weight, and move better.

Incorporated into my program is a range of exercises to help with my old ankle injuries.

When I broke my elbow I didn’t even bother going to a physio for rehab. I went straight back to the gym.

Often I wonder why Mariusz is asking me to do a certain exercise…….. Then, after a few weeks when all of a sudden I can achieve a goal I think, ahhh so that’s why he was making me do that. There is a whole plan behind the program to help me achieve my goals.

An added bonus is the personal sense of well-being and achievement. I can move in everyday life. I have a better balance on my bike and I can lift heavy suitcases! Oh and I don’t have sore feet or arthritis, I never did!”
